Live Score Card of 3rd ODI Match India vs New Zealand at Christchurch!

The matches at Christchurch seems to have developed a new format of breaking some previous records. The Indians team which was hardly seen to have scored in their last tour to New Zealand are pouring runs at a rate of nots. And at the same time the home team is suffering severe punoshment from the Indian batsman regularly. When India was put on to bat after winning the toss, skipper McCullum might not have thought that the master himself will unleash the beast in him on to his team. The home team got rid of the dangerous Virendra Sehwag very quickly. But the whole thing went into vain with the bowlers faultering in line as well as in length.

Sachin and Yuvraj Singh put on a huge third wicket partnership that put India in track after two quick wickets had fall early in the innings. They put the partnership in very quick time. With Yuvraj making the ball to fly all around the park, it was delight for the Indian dressing room. Sachin was never to left out at any moment. He brought his 43rd ODI century here at the Christchurch. But for some reason, he left the ground just 5 overs before the innings ended. He was there on 163 runs with the 200 mark beconing him. But he took the wiser descision and took off. Dhoni also chipped in with a quick fifty and some late fire from Suresh Raina’s blade helped the Indian score to reach 392 at the end of 50 overs. Kyle Mills was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets in his tally.
New Zealand started their innings on a very high note.

Two openers Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum was instrumental to pick the bad balls and send them to the boundaries. The put on a formidable platform for the remaining batsmen to explore the situation and to help the home team towards victory. But once Brendon got run out and Ryder was fooled by Harbhajan’s spin, it was all Indian story. India took 8 wickets for merely 100 runs leaving New Zealand with no option to win the match from there. Some good sensible batting along with worst case Indian fielding helped the Kiwis score to reach 334. Harbhajan was the pick of the bowlers with 2/56 in his 10 overs. Sachin Tendulkar was declared the man of the match.

The third Match of the India in New Zealand ODI Series is scheduled in between India and New Zealand today at AMI Stadium, Christchurch, on 08 March 2009 day & night 50-over match!
